Gravestone in limestone darker and smoother than lioz. Located, in the early 20
th century, embedded in façade of chapel of São Julião, vertical, truncated and worn out along 2 inch-strip on its right side, resulting in lack of the first letters from each of its five lines.
Its present whereabouts is unknown. The record from the time of discovery indicates it was quite archaic, with a simple epitaph that didn't mention kinship or affinity between testator and executor of will. The punctuation is round and only the necessary.
In the first line, the engraved
nomen of the deceased may have been MASCELLIO. Before the name there may have been the initial of the
praenomen, if there was one. In the second line, the initial of his father's
praenomen is missing. The name
Rufus, of the executor of the testamentary obligation, is quite common and also recorded in an epigraph from Louriceira.
