Epitaph for Italia

Epitaph for Italia, aged 40, dedicated to the
Manes gods
(deities guarding the spirit of the dead). The simple text is engraved somewhat carelessly on a plaque that was originally placed upon some funerary monument in the
necropolis
, in Praça da Figueira. An epigraph was found there, under unclear circumstances, shortly before the archaeological interventions of the 1960s.
