Epigraphed bas-relief from theatre

Fragment of a white marble plaque with bas-relief with profile of moving figure under an engraved legend, in Greek, were one can read the beginning of the name, Melpomene, the inspirational muse of the tragedic theatrical genre. This element was part of a larger whole distributed along the connecting walls between proscaenium niches, bearing representations of the muses inspiring thinking and artistic creation.
